The Messengers

Kate brings an incredible positive energy and enthusiasm to making music with communities around the world. She believes that music-making should be accessible to everyone, and that its benefits are far ranging from promoting empathy and social cohesion, to influencing well-being and mental health. And as it becomes ever more important for artists to hold a mirror up to society, she believes strong links to community can have a significant impact on the artists’ practice.

Kate has led and supported workshops in the following areas:

  • Teaching Musicality to Year 1 Drama students (Guildhall School of Music and Drama)
  • Talented young musicians and composers (BBC Symphony Orchestra, South West Music Schools, Aldeburgh Young Musicians, Malta Youth Orchestra)
