The Daily 10&6

We are a collective of vocal improvisation teachers in the US and UK, collaborating to host 20-minute vocal improv drop-in sessions on Zoom. With the world around us being in constant upheaval or perpetual silence, our need to sing and connect is greater than ever.
In the words of one participant: the Daily 10 and 6 is
“a life saver …as this coincided with me developing acute anxiety & insomnia. Each morning I had the opportunity to …become grounded through my voice to my body, and with various sensitively guided exercises I gradually became connected to the other people. It’s quite extraordinary how in such a short time, with people I’ve never met I could have what sometimes feels like a spiritual connection. The variety, skill and sensitivity of the teachers in the 10 & 6 is something I don’t think I’ve experienced in any other forum.”
As the pandemic recedes from the forefront of our lives, we are happy to say our collaboration as leaders continues to grow. As a direct result of the impact of the Daily 10&6, we have joined together to create the first UK Vocal Improv Festival Retreat, to be held at Penny Brohn in October 2022.
